Restrictions on Pepper Sprays in MA, MI, NY, and WI

As you might already know, the Pepper Sprays and Mace are legal in all states. However, certain states and localities do have some restrictions on pepper sprays.
The states of New York, Massachusestts, Wisconsin and Michigan have the following restrictions, of which we are aware:

Massachusetts: Massachusetts residents may only purchase defense sprays from licensed Firearms Dealers. A valid Firearm ID is required for the purchase.

Michigan: The Pepper Sprays in Michigan may contain only the OC solution of less than 2%. CS may be the only tear gas added to the pepper spray. No other combined formulations are allowed. The capacity of the canister must be less than 35 grams.

New York: New York residents may only purchase defense sprays from licensed Firearms Dealers or licensed Pharmacists in that state.

Wisconsin: The Pepper Sprays in this state may contain only the OC solution of 10% or less. No additional ingredients are allowed. The capacity of the canister must be less than 60 grams. The canister must have a safety feature.

The laws and regulations regarding pepper sprays change all the time, so always check with your local Police Department or another proper authority, whether pepper sprays are restricted in your locality.
